 Growth Statistics
For our own personal curiosity and records we
began taking monthly statistics of each foal on the occasion of
their monthly birthday. There are some early gaps in the data as I
normally just measured weight on the monthly birthday. Later, I started measuring cannon bone and height. We thought it would be
interesting to see how rates of growth compared between pure breds and part
breds or if the time of year a foal was born had much to do with their rate
of growth. We regret we did not start this
study with our very first crop of foals. So there are three OldDominion
born foals not included in this; OldDominion Artorius, OldDominion Branwen,
and OldDominion Bedwyr's early statistics of height and bone growth.
