Grass-fed Beef - Cleveland Bay Horses - Thanksgiving Turkeys
It’s been too long...
My last posting was 60 days ago. Its been too long. All is well at Bay Haven Farm. We are awaiting foals still. Fortuna has found a home; which leaves us just with our old guard; Joe, Boo and Indy. The super elderlies are still hanging in there; Circle, who gave us our very first CB (a part bred) is now 30 years old. Her pony friend is just probably a couple years younger.
We have brought back to Bay Haven Farm a young pure bred gelding that we bred. Percy (who was always one of my favs up there with Bors and Horatius and Big B) is back. What an awesome guy. Unfortunately the person who had purchased him was unable to keep him so gave him back to us. As much as I would like to keep him, I should like to place him in a great home. He’s an awesome guy. Lots of training so far which would make him easy to get started soon. (He will be 2 in August). Will post some proper, non-muddy photos soon.
Our Spring beeve has been claimed and is now picked up in the freezers. We will take a Fall beeve as well; probably in the September timeframe.
Baby chicks have arrived and are doing well in the tack room for now. 15 new Speckled Sussex. I think the turkeys come soon; but to be honest, things have been so busy, I am not really sure exactly. Will need to check that out. Hard to believe it’s turkey time again!
